The Vibe

Let me capture your story. It’s more than smiling at the camera - it’s the connection and love for one another. It’s the in-between moments,, the little details that mean everything. My goal is to give your family a snapshot in time of what it feels like to love and be loved by each other, something to look back on many years from now and remember it all.

We are not going for perfect holiday card photos here. Though I promise to get a few, that is not the main goal of our time together. We want the laughs, giggles, smiles, hugs, love, and connection. This is not 45 minutes of making them sit still and smile for the camera (that might be about 5 minutes). Come to the session ready to play with your kids and shower them in love. Don’t stress if they have moments of being silly - we WANT that! The best advice is to stay relaxed and trust that I will get the moment that shows exactly what you want!

Location

Together we will choose a location for our session. The bottom line is that the location doesn’t really matter - because what I’m capturing is the connection and the love within your family. I absolutely love at-home sessions (and describe why below) but if an at-home session isn’t your thing, that is totally ok - we can meet at a place that is special to your family or I can choose a location with great scenery.

AT-HOME SESSIONS

My favorite place to photograph your family is your home and here’s why.

• It’s where you spend the most time and it’s where kids feel the most comfortable. It’s having those little details in the photos, like a favorite toy or the way a room is decorated, that will bring back a rush of memories and emotions years later. Think of your own photos of your childhood and how fun it is too look at all the details - that’s what we are going after! We can do indoor, outdoor, or a combo of both at your home session.

• Your photos will be uniquely yours. Beautiful photos in a field do have their place, but equal value should be given to beautiful photos in and at your home.

• At home sessions are more than just sitting on the couch and smiling at the camera. I’ll ask you to think of a list of what you like to do at home with your kids - reading a book, playing with a favorite toy, drawing, playing in the backyard, chalking outside, swinging on the tire swing, baking, decorating the christmas tree… the ideas are endless. I’ll usually start the session with some family photos on your front porch or in your yard before we move inside to capture the fun stuff.
